Remote Software Engineer

Description:

• Admiral is seeking mid-level or staff-level engineers to help expand their platform.
• The role involves working on mature, well-maintained backend and frontend systems built using Go microservices and React/JavaScript client applications.
• The mission is to build a more balanced content ecosystem on the web, focusing on better privacy controls and equitable relationships between content creators and their audiences.
• Responsibilities include being a key member of a small and productive team, building and taking responsibility for backend services that support billions of pageviews, committing, reviewing, and testing high-quality code, implementing new UI features, backend microservices, and internal tooling, providing input and collaborating on the product roadmap and future functionality, and helping improve consumer choice and publisher sustainability across the internet.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have experience writing front-end web applications in JavaScript.
• Candidates must have experience writing highly-scalable back-end applications.
• Strong written communication skills are required.
• Familiarity with deploying and operating software in the cloud is necessary.
• It is a plus to have familiarity with databases like MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Experience writing microservices in Go is also a plus.
• Candidates should see limitations and novel problems as exciting challenges, possess great communication skills, work well in a team, and care about code quality.
