Remote Software Engineer - Application Developer (JavaScript/TypeScript)

Description:

• Mighty Acorn is seeking a talented and mission-driven application developer with 2+ years of experience to join their growing team.
• The role involves participating in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on writing clean and maintainable code.
• Responsibilities include participating in code reviews to maintain code quality and sharing knowledge with the team.

• The developer will work closely with a team of senior technologists on an established cross-functional scrum team.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 2-3 years of full-stack engineering experience.
• Experience working in the tech stack, including Next.js, React, TypeScript/JavaScript, and AWS, is required.
• Additional experience in an engineering specialty area such as data analysis/visualization, testing, devops, or accessibility is preferred.
• Effective communication skills are necessary to foster collaboration on a remote-first team.
• Flexibility to jump between different projects to support the team as needed is important.
• A "get better every day" mindset is expected.
• Candidates must be able to work efficiently, sometimes under tight deadlines.
• A preference for transparency and the ability to communicate directly and transparently is required.
• Candidates must adapt quickly and cope with temporarily ambiguous situations as requirements change.
• This role requires work to be performed from within the contiguous United States.
• Candidates must either hold active US citizenship or a green card and possess work authorization that does not require any present or future visa sponsorship by Mighty Acorn Digital.
• Candidates selected for the role must pass a criminal background check prior to their start date.
• A fast (>100Mbps) and reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace with appropriate background noise levels for audio calls are necessary.
• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's degree.
