The role involves designing and implementing frameworks, platforms, and services that provide foundational capabilities, such as workflow management and application configuration.
The engineer will define and drive the adoption of core technical standards and collaborate with various engineering teams to identify and solve friction points in software development.
The position also requires collaboration with cross-functional partners like Security and Finance to address cross-cutting engagement points.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining software systems, with a focus on building core platforms/frameworks.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required, along with the ability to write detailed technical specifications.
Experience with at least one cloud service provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is necessary, with a preference for AWS experience.
Familiarity with technologies such as Python, Kotlin, Bazel, Kubernetes, gRPC, and Postgres is preferred, though not mandatory for all candidates.
A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is required.
Benefits:
The estimated US base salary range for this position is $197,000 - $237,000 annually for employees based in California and New York.

Tecton has a remote-friendly policy with a hybrid working model for employees in the SF, NY, and Seattle areas, requiring in-office attendance at least two designated days per week for SF & NY employees and two designated days per month for Seattle employees.
