Remote Software Engineer - Applied ML (Japan)

Description:

• Cohere is on a mission to scale intelligence to serve humanity by training and deploying frontier models for AI systems.
• As a Full Stack Software Engineer on the Applied ML team, you will work directly with customers to understand their problems and design solutions using Cohere's technology stack.
• You will apply problem-solving skills, creativity, and technical expertise to facilitate Enterprise AI adoption.
• Responsibilities include owning and building large new areas within the product, working across backend and frontend, and interacting with Large Language Models.
• You will experiment at a high velocity and quality to engage customers and deliver solutions that exceed expectations.
• The role encompasses the entire product lifecycle from conceptualization to production.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, Node, React, or Next.js is required.
• Experience in full stack development, specifically in building ML infrastructure and AI-powered solutions is necessary.
• A background in developing language models using frameworks like Lang Chain and evaluating their performance with tools such as the Llama Index is essential.
• A proven track record in scaling products at hyper-growth startups is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this role.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% to client sites, with flexibility based on personal preferences.
