Description:

  • The role involves building software components that enable the Gensyn network to solve complex distributed machine learning problems.
  • Responsibilities include contributing to and maintaining the Gensyn executor, mesh network, and SDK, which involves adding new features, optimizing existing solutions, fixing bugs, and participating in the architectural evolution of the system.
  • The position requires contributing to system architecture and design decisions for large-scale deployments.
  • Conducting code and design reviews to maintain high standards of code quality across the team is essential.
  • Measuring and optimizing existing components to ensure they effectively meet end-user requirements is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have rock solid computer science fundamentals.
  • Demonstrable production experience in shipping code is required.
  • Proficiency in one system-level language such as Go, C/C++, Zig, or Rust is necessary.
  • A deep understanding of distributed systems or systems at scale is essential.
  • Knowledge of operating system fundamentals, preferably Linux or macOS, is required.
  • Candidates should be highly self-motivated and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with common networking protocols and/or execution environments, working in high-growth start/scale-up environments, and familiarity with observability tools such as metrics and traces.
  • Experience in building distributed databases, file systems, or queues is also preferred.
  • Nice to have qualifications include experience with AI systems in production, contributing to or maintaining open-source distributed systems, proficiency in Golang, experience with performance optimization tooling and tactics, and a proficient understanding of distributed systems concepts like Consensus, CAP, and Fault Tolerance.
