Orca is seeking a Software Engineer (Backend) to join their remote team and contribute to building a financial system that prioritizes people.
The role involves designing and implementing scalable servers in Rust, developing data processing pipelines, advancing application features, and managing database interactions using PostgreSQL.
The ideal candidate will work with a team of senior engineers and will be expected to specialize in backend services and infrastructure.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a proven track record of working on performant services at scale, preferably in finance or related industries.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from a recognized university is required.
Applicants should be comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment while also enjoying team collaboration.
Technical skills should include a strong interest and proficiency in building high-performance backend systems; experience with Rust is a plus but not mandatory.
A good understanding of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) and the Solana ecosystem is essential, along with experience as a user of DeFi applications.
Benefits:
The position offers a salary range of 160,000 - 220,000 USDC for US employees.
Employees will receive a token allocation of 50,000 - 100,000 ORCA over four years.
