Metalenz is developing next-generation sensing systems for consumer electronics using metasurface technology.
As a Software Engineer, you will develop computer vision and image processing algorithms for engineered meta-optic camera systems.
You will implement existing and new computer vision algorithms for 3D scene reconstruction, segmentation, and biometric tasks.
Your responsibilities include conceiving and implementing computer vision algorithms that utilize meta-optic capabilities for secure authentication.
You will work on facial identification, presentation attack detection, and scene synthesis.
You will implement algorithms on unique camera hardware and assist the hardware team by providing necessary specifications for task performance.
Collaboration is key, as you will write documentation, engage in code reviews, and comment on design documents.
Requirements:
A MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field is required, along with demonstrated excellence in technical domains through open-source contributions or publications.
You must have 5+ years of experience building computer vision solutions.
A broad understanding of methods and tooling, including OpenCV and deep learning approaches (i.e., Tensorflow, PyTorch, Jax) is necessary.
Knowledge of cameras, image processing, and computer vision techniques is essential.
Experience in building computer vision algorithms for biometric and/or facial ID applications is required.
Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including version control, data provenance, code profiling, and unit tests is expected.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and/or Julia is required.
