  • As a Software Engineer, Customer Infrastructure, you will enhance, optimize, validate, and automate the cloud-native storage platform.
  • Your role will involve a mix of DevOps and software engineering to ensure high-quality product delivery with performance, scalability, and durability.
  • You will work closely with customers and the engineering team to push the boundaries of object storage performance and reliability.
  • Responsibilities include enhancing core MinIO software, building high-performance distributed storage solutions, validating software according to customer requirements, improving existing features, collaborating with engineers, writing maintainable code, conducting performance benchmarking, and managing customer expectations.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • You must have 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • A desire and ability to work directly with customers to solve problems through product enhancement and automation is essential.
  • Experience in DevOps, GitOps, automation, and testing frameworks is required.
  • Expertise in distributed systems, networking, or high-performance computing is necessary.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, containers, and microservices is expected.
  • Strong proficiency in Go is desired, or deep experience in C/C++/Rust with a willingness to learn Go.
  • A deep understanding of storage systems, file systems, or databases is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience debugging complex, large-scale applications are essential.
  • Contributions to open-source projects are a plus.
  • You should have the ability to work in a fast-moving, collaborative environment with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Empathy towards customers and the ability to resolve issues quickly is important.
  • A passion for innovation and staying current with technology trends is expected.
  • Self-motivation and a commitment to continuous learning and adopting new tools and frameworks are required.
