Phare Health is seeking a Software Engineer to manage data ingestion and implement Phare’s platform at partner provider and payer systems.
The role involves close collaboration with customer IT teams to integrate Phare using HL7, X12, SFTP, and API pipelines while addressing data fidelity issues.
This position is hands-on and focuses on healthcare data, systems integration, and architecture.
Responsibilities include using Python and other object-oriented programming languages, leading end-to-end integration with provider and payer IT teams, and designing data pipelines to connect EHR, claims, and payer systems into Phare.
The engineer will set up validation and quality checks for data integrity, monitor data pipelines, resolve data fidelity challenges, and collaborate with various teams to enhance system performance.
Documentation of integration architectures and ensuring compliance with healthcare security and privacy standards, including HIPAA, is also required.
Requirements:
Candidates must be problem solvers capable of debugging complex healthcare data and building robust, scalable, and compliant solutions.
A systems thinker with experience in architecting or scaling integrations that prioritize reliability, performance, and security is essential.
Strong collaboration skills are required to work effectively with customer IT teams, clinical/operations stakeholders, and internal product/engineering peers.
A startup mindset is necessary, with comfort in a fast-paced environment and eagerness to take ownership of integration processes.
Bonus points for experience with cloud-based integration platforms, familiarity with cloud-based data workflows, and knowledge of healthcare claims data and reimbursement workflows.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $220,000, depending on seniority, along with equity.
