As a Software Engineer - Data Platform, you will take full ownership of key data platform initiatives and manage the data lifecycle, including ingestion, processing, storage, and querying systems.
You will work on building scalable systems and services for data management and collaborate with stakeholders and backend product teams to enhance platform features.
Responsibilities include designing and developing scalable distributed systems, addressing fault-tolerance and high availability, scaling ingestion pipelines, and participating in the software development life cycle from design to delivery.
Requirements:
You must have 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
Proficiency in backend programming, including multi-threading and concurrency, with expertise in Python.
Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
Experience in designing, implementing, and operating highly scalable software systems and services is required.
Familiarity with technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Airflow, and Kubernetes is essential.
You should have experience with service-oriented architectures and excellent troubleshooting skills.
Hands-on experience with containerized platforms like Docker and Kubernetes is necessary.
A BS in Computer Science or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with other teams.
