The base compensation range for this Software Engineer position in the SF Bay Area is $140,000 - $210,000, with variations based on the candidate's primary work location and other factors.
The role involves working closely with Product to shape the next generation of B2B data delivery and designing infrastructure and APIs for new data products.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, focusing on data systems, backend development, or APIs.
Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Python, Scala, Go, or Java is required.
Experience with frontend technologies, preferably Typescript and React, is necessary.
Strong experience in data modeling, schema evolution, and ETL/ELT pipelines is essential.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), databases (Postgres, BigQuery), and streaming technologies (Kafka, PubSub) is required.
Experience in building customer-facing APIs and/or data products is necessary.
A strong product mindset and excellent communication skills, along with a bias for action, are important for this role.
Bonus qualifications include experience with B2B or GTM data, familiarity with data privacy and security best practices, and experience mentoring junior engineers or leading projects.
