The Software Engineer will join a collaborative, high-impact Data team and work closely with the CTO and feature teams on the Excel add-in application.
The role involves building the “last mile” layer that transforms structured backend data into well-formatted Excel spreadsheets.
Responsibilities include developing end-to-end features, keeping the add-in current with new features, shaping raw data, building new report types, diagnosing production bugs, writing clean code, participating in code reviews, and ensuring data stability.
Requirements:
A minimum of 2+ years of full-stack development experience is required.
Candidates must have experience with Microsoft’s Office JavaScript API or a willingness to learn.
The ability to perform data transformations for frontend and Excel consumption is necessary.
Attention to detail and a mindset geared toward risk prevention and correctness in user-facing outputs is essential.
Proficiency in the tech stack (Node, React, Typescript, and Postgres) or a similar modern web technology stack is required.
Empathy for user experience and product quality is important.
Experience working with agile, collaborative teams is needed.
