Remote Software Engineer – Finance & Compliance Automation (Contractor)

• The Software Engineer will focus on Finance & Compliance Automation, playing a vital role in automating key financial and regulatory systems as the company scales.
• Responsibilities include owning the development and maintenance of the Accounting Service and Compliance Service, automating accounting workflows, building compliance automation for regulatory markets, parallelizing key initiatives, and supporting high-impact V2 roadmap initiatives.
• This is an hourly contract role with a pay rate of $57–$75/hour and is entirely remote, US-based.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Proficiency in ReactJS, NodeJS, NestJS, and Kafka is required.
• Strong experience with financial systems, ETL pipelines, and CRM integrations is necessary.
• A background in fintech or cannabis compliance, such as familiarity with Metrc or BioTrack, is preferred.
• Candidates should possess a high technical aptitude and an ownership mindset.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders are essential.
