As a Staff Engineer, you will develop products and features in a Ruby on Rails environment with a Typescript front-end and PostgreSQL database.
You will apply Agile methodologies to product and software development processes.
The role involves solving complex engineering problems and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
You will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and occasionally lead small teams.
Daily tasks may include writing clean code, setting engineering standards, leading pair programming sessions, and developing technical roadmaps.
Requirements:
You must have 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
A minimum of 5+ years experience coding with Ruby is required.
Experience with architectural planning and design is necessary.
You should be able to articulate the value of technical investments.
The ability to operate with little-to-no technical guidance is essential.
Experience mentoring engineers is required.
You should be comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
A fast learner who is ready to bring previous knowledge and continue developing is preferred.
Location in Central or Eastern US time zones (CDT & EDT) is strongly preferred.
