Remote Software Engineer (Frontend)

Description:

• Applause is a SaaS start-up focused on enhancing team performance to help companies win lifelong customers.
• The Software Engineer (Frontend) will work directly with the lead developer/co-founder to implement frontend features and functionality.
• This role requires translating clear requirements into high-quality, well-tested code that adheres to established conventions and patterns.
• Responsibilities include implementing frontend features using React.js and JavaScript, following coding conventions, conducting thorough manual QA and testing, collaborating with the lead engineer, writing clean code, participating in code reviews, debugging issues, and documenting implementation details.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3+ years of experience with JavaScript and React.js.
• A strong attention to detail and commitment to code quality is essential.
• Applicants should demonstrate an excellent ability to follow established coding styles and conventions.
• A proven track record of implementing features based on written requirements and specifications is required.
• Experience with manual QA and testing methodologies is necessary.
• Strong reading comprehension and the ability to ask clarifying questions are important.
• Candidates must be self-motivated and effective in a remote-work environment.
• Bonus points for experience with AI and LLM tools like Claude Code.
