Orca is seeking a Software Engineer (Frontend) to join their remote team.
The company aims to build a financial system that prioritizes people and envisions a future driven by Decentralized Finance (DeFi) products.
The role involves building user-facing products such as a TypeScript SDK, stats and price API, or a new interface.
Responsibilities include creating compelling user experiences, making complex interactions seamless, maintaining tooling and best practices for testing, improving site speed and performance, and contributing to an open-source culture.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a proven track record of working on performant, user-facing features at scale, preferably in finance or a related industry.
A balanced mindset is essential; candidates should be comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment while also enjoying team collaboration.
A strong design sense is required, with the ability to create "pixel perfect" interfaces and make design suggestions.
Excellent communication skills are necessary to articulate thoughts clearly and empower others.
A strong interest in DeFi and extensive experience using DeFi apps, particularly familiarity with the Solana ecosystem, is required.
Benefits:
The salary range for this position is 140,000 - 190,000 USDC for US employees.
Candidates will receive a token allocation of 50,000 - 100,000 ORCA over four years.
There is an opportunity to learn and develop skills in Solana DeFi.
The position offers a flexible work schedule and a home office stipend.
