• Zapier is seeking Backend Engineers and Fullstack Engineers (backend-leaning) to join the Workflow Zone, which is responsible for the core engine of their automation platform.
• The Workflow Zone focuses on scaling capabilities, reliability, and intelligence of the product experience as more teams depend on Zapier for automation.
• The role involves building robust systems, enabling advanced user workflows, and shaping the future of automation.
• Teams within the Workflow Zone include Editor Creation, Troubleshooting, Runner, and Workflow Capabilities, each with specific focuses on enhancing user experience and system performance.
• Responsibilities include redesigning the Zap creation experience, building systems for error detection, developing the execution engine, and creating foundational logic tools for workflows.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on backend systems.
• Experience in Python and Django is required, particularly in building reliable and performant APIs and backend services.
• For Full Stack roles, solid experience with React and ideally frameworks like Next.js is necessary.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and an understanding of efficient data model design is required.
