Remote Software Engineer (Golang)

Description:

• We are seeking a passionate and highly capable Software Engineer to join our fast-paced Technology team.
• In this role, you will help shape the digital experience for thousands of users by designing, building, and delivering high-quality software that performs at scale.
• You will play a key role in building products that matter, from development and deployment to collaboration and mentoring.
• The position is open to remote candidates, with a hybrid working model available across various locations in Australia and New Zealand.
• Your daily responsibilities will include contributing to the end-to-end software development life cycle (SDLC), writing well-designed and scalable code, participating in team discussions, evaluating system scalability and performance, assisting in quality assurance processes, maintaining specific modules and codebases, evolving internal build tools and CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with external teams and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• You must have proven experience in software engineering within a modern delivery environment, ideally aligned with our tech stack.
• A strong understanding of web, mobile, or backend technologies and standards is required.
• Experience in Agile delivery teams and comfort in fast-paced sprints and collaborative settings is essential.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling such as TeamCity, Octopus, and PowerShell is necessary.
• You should have working knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and platforms like Jira.
• Great problem-solving skills and the ability to assess technical risk and mitigate proactively are important.
• Knowledge or experience with automated testing frameworks and methodologies is preferred.
