Remote Software Engineer I - AI

• The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, with locations in Aliso Viejo, CA, Santa Monica, CA, or New York, NY.
• Responsibilities include designing and implementing AI tooling, developing custom machine learning models, establishing AI/ML best practices, collaborating with teams, leading AI platform integration, creating documentation, monitoring model performance, and staying current with AI technologies.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field is required.
• Candidates should have 1-2 years of hands-on experience in machine learning and AI development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously is necessary.
• Experience with ML Ops tools and practices such as ML flow, Kubeflow, and DVC is required.
• Proficiency in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture is needed.
• Candidates must be proficient in Python and at least one other programming language (C#, R, Java, Scala).
• Strong experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch is required.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their ML services is necessary.
• Knowledge of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation is required.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines is necessary.
• It is preferred to have a Master's or PhD in Machine Learning, AI, Data Science, or a related field.
• Candidates with 3+ years of experience in AI/ML, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role, are preferred.
• Understanding of data privacy and security considerations in AI systems is a plus.
• A background in consulting or working with multiple business stakeholders is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences are important.
