Socure is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their team of talented software engineers.
The role involves collaborating with product engineering and product management teams to build first-party fraud detection and account intelligence products.
Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop new features in an agile environment, writing high-quality code with a focus on performance and maintainability, tackling technical problems with mentorship, participating in design discussions for backend applications, and assisting in resolving production issues.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience from a reputable coding bootcamp is required.
Candidates should have 2 to 4 years of experience in software engineering, specifically in backend development.
Interest and familiarity with the tech stack, including Java, SQL/NoSQL, and AWS, are necessary.
A strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems, is essential.
Knowledge of engineering best practices and a proactive approach to improving engineering standards, tooling, and processes is expected.
The ability to quickly acquire operational knowledge of new technologies or programming languages as required for the job is important.
A customer-centric mindset with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to various levels within the organization is required.
Candidates should be comfortable working within agile methodologies in a global, cross-functional, and collaborative team environment.
