As part of the Checkout Experience team, you will maintain UIs and APIs that enhance user experiences at the core of Affirm's checkout processes.
You will collaborate with multiple partner teams across the US and Europe to support feature development and improve key metrics for user payment flexibility.
Responsibilities include breaking down larger projects into tasks, collaborating with product management, design, and analytics, and supporting the operations and availability of team artifacts.
You will engage in growth and development activities, including participation in the interview process.
This role requires participation in an on-call rotation.
Requirements:
You must have a total of 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
Experience in shipping web applications using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue is required.
Proficiency in Javascript/Typescript is necessary.
You should be able to transform simple problems into solutions that interact with multiple software components, writing clear, well-tested, and extensible code.
Comfort in navigating a large code base, debugging others' code, and providing feedback through code reviews is essential.
You should demonstrate ownership of your growth by proactively seeking feedback from your team, manager, and stakeholders.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to support effective collaboration with a global engineering team.
