Remote Software Engineer II, Frontend (Checkout Experience International)

Description:

• Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, allowing consumers to buy now and pay later without hidden fees or compounding interest.
• As part of the Checkout Experience team, you will maintain UIs and APIs that enhance user experiences at the core of Affirm's checkout processes.
• You will collaborate with multiple partner teams across the US and Europe to support feature development and improve key metrics for user payment flexibility.
• You will break down larger projects into individual tasks, deliver them in phases, and ensure timely delivery of your work with the support of your team’s tech lead and manager.
• You will collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during the product development lifecycle, participating in ideation and articulating technical constraints.
• You will create and monitor metrics to support the operations and availability of your team’s artifacts, and engage in on-call efforts as needed.
• You will contribute to team community by participating in growth and development activities, including the interview process.

Requirements:

• You must have a total of 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• You should have experience shipping web applications using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
• You need to have experience working with Javascript/Typescript.
• You must demonstrate the ability to transform simple problems or business scenarios into solutions that interact with multiple software components, writing clear, well-tested, and extensible code.
• You should be comfortable navigating a large code base, debugging others' code, and providing feedback through code reviews.
• You must show ownership of your growth by proactively seeking feedback from your team, manager, and stakeholders.
• You need to possess strong verbal and written communication skills to support effective collaboration with a global engineering team.
