Invisible Technologies is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work directly with clients and internal delivery teams to build and deploy AI-powered solutions.
The role involves owning projects end-to-end, including scoping ambiguous problems, prototyping AI workflows, and deploying scalable systems.
This hybrid position combines responsibilities of an AI engineer, software builder, and technical consultant.
Key tasks include collaborating with delivery leaders to scope technical solutions, identifying workflow optimizations, designing and implementing AI-powered workflows, translating real-world constraints into engineering solutions, iterating based on feedback, and building reusable tooling and infrastructure.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3 to 4 years of professional experience in software engineering or ML engineering.
Strong Python skills and familiarity with libraries such as PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, or OpenAI APIs are required.
A solid understanding of data pipelines, APIs, and production deployment (e.g., Docker, FastAPI, GCP/AWS) is necessary.
Experience in building usable systems from messy data and ambiguous requirements is essential.
Strong communication skills are required to explain technical decisions to delivery teams and client stakeholders.
An entrepreneurial mindset and comfort in fast-moving, unstructured environments are important.
Candidates must be willing to be on-call for customers when situations arise.
The ability to travel approximately 25–50% of the time, including short-notice trips primarily across North America and occasional international roll-outs, is required.
A strong engineering background is demonstrated by a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience.

The annual salary range for this position is $150,000 - $176,000 USD, adjusted for location and market conditions for candidates outside the U.S.
