Camunda is seeking a Software Engineer, Java Fullstack to join a remote, cross-functional team responsible for Camunda 7 and Optimize 3.
The role involves developing the C7 Data Migrator, a tool for migrating process instances from Camunda 7 to 8, and maintaining integration layers between the platform and application servers/databases.
Responsibilities include fixing bugs, writing tests, collaborating with users and customers to resolve production issues, and improving team processes.
The team is transitioning Camunda 7 and Optimize 3 into maintenance mode, focusing on maintenance updates and developing migration tools.
The position is fully remote, and the candidate will be part of an innovative engineering environment that encourages self-development and growth.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 4+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer working with Java or another JVM language, including experience with relational or non-relational databases, JUnit, and REST APIs.
Some experience with frontend technologies such as AngularJS and React is preferred.
Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
Candidates should possess a proactive "Manager of One" mindset, promoting collaboration and taking ownership of responsibilities.
Ability to work in a remote environment with effective written communication and incremental delivery of work results is essential.
Familiarity with tools and technologies such as Spring/Spring Boot, Elastic/Open Search, Jenkins, MyBatis, Docker, Quarkus, Maven, and various application servers is a plus.
