Nomic is focused on making biology easier to measure by solving complex problems in protein profiling.
The company combines DNA nanotechnology, high-dimensional flow cytometry, laboratory automation, and machine learning to develop the nELISA platform.
Nomic has partnered with numerous drug discovery groups and has launched a manufacturing and protein profiling facility capable of processing over 2.5 million samples a year.
The Software team is responsible for designing, building, and supporting software that empowers nELISA users.
The software stack includes a full-stack LIMS, data pipelines for flow cytometry experiments, and a customer-facing web portal for data visualization and analysis.
As a Software Engineer, you will build core components of the nELISA software stack and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities include writing software components, developing internal tools, creating efficient analysis pipelines, and improving interfaces with lab automation equipment.
The role requires substantial communication and teamwork with various internal users and customers.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 4+ years of full stack software engineering experience.
A minimum of 2 years of experience writing code in the biotech and/or life sciences industry is required.
Technical skills in algorithm development, signal processing, image analysis, computational biology, or bioinformatics are necessary.
Experience in developing data analysis pipelines and algorithms for biochemical assays such as ELISA, flow cytometry, mass spec, or NGS is essential.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent industry experience is required.
Proficiency in Python and experience working in a small software team is necessary, along with the ability to rapidly prototype and code modular software.
Experience developing extensions on existing LIMS, interfacing with lab equipment, or establishing high-performance data pipelines is required.
Excellent communication skills and independent problem-solving abilities are essential.
Fluency in English is required for interaction with customers and team members in the USA.
