Description:

  • Newfront is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Onboarding and Marketplace team, responsible for building core systems that power the insurance marketing process.
  • The role involves designing and scaling systems that support workflows for brokers, account managers, and clients, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and user-friendliness in marketing, quoting, and binding insurance.
  • The team manages multiple domains, including a core insurance data platform, an admin ecosystem for insurance professionals, a client-facing ecosystem, and AI/LLM powered applications to automate insurance operations.
  • This is a full-time, salary-exempt, hybrid position that allows work from any of Newfront's office locations within the USA.

Requirements:

  • A BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software engineering and web application development at scale is necessary.
  • Experience in designing and building large systems at the enterprise level is required.
  • Strong programming and data engineering skills in one or more backend server languages (Java, Python, Ruby, Go, TypeScript, etc.) are essential.
  • Familiarity with web development best practices, including containerization, Docker, continuous integration, and continuous deployment is needed.
  • Proficiency with relational database management systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL is required.
  • The ability to effectively communicate with non-technical stakeholders is necessary.
  • A thoughtful, pragmatic, and efficient approach to problem-solving is essential.
  • A passion for personal and team growth through curiosity, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment is required.

Benefits:

  • The pay range for this position in California, Washington, Colorado, and New York is expected to be between $128,300 and $200,500 per year, with variations based on individual factors.
  • The total compensation package may include bonuses, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards, along with a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
