Newfront is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Onboarding and Marketplace team, responsible for building core systems that power the insurance marketing process.
The role involves designing and scaling systems that support workflows for brokers, account managers, and clients, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and user-friendliness in marketing, quoting, and binding insurance.
The team manages multiple domains, including a core insurance data platform, an admin ecosystem for insurance professionals, a client-facing ecosystem, and AI/LLM powered applications to automate insurance operations.
This is a full-time, salary-exempt, hybrid position that allows work from any of Newfront's office locations within the USA.
Requirements:
A BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software engineering and web application development at scale is necessary.
Experience in designing and building large systems at the enterprise level is required.
Strong programming and data engineering skills in one or more backend server languages (Java, Python, Ruby, Go, TypeScript, etc.) are essential.
Familiarity with web development best practices, including containerization, Docker, continuous integration, and continuous deployment is needed.
Proficiency with relational database management systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL is required.
The ability to effectively communicate with non-technical stakeholders is necessary.
A thoughtful, pragmatic, and efficient approach to problem-solving is essential.

Benefits:
The pay range for this position in California, Washington, Colorado, and New York is expected to be between $128,300 and $200,500 per year, with variations based on individual factors.
The total compensation package may include bonuses, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards, along with a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
