  • PingWind is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s (AHRQ) Agile software development team.
  • The Software Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of AHRQ applications and products.
  • Responsibilities include providing application and feature development leadership, coordinating with developers, and developing reusable code to enable rapid development.
  • The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software to stakeholders and users.
  • Key tasks include conducting Agile scrum ceremonies, collaborating with stakeholders in requirement development, supporting continuous integration using Jenkins, and writing clean, efficient, and scalable code.
  • The Software Engineer will also debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, participate in code reviews, implement security measures, document technical specifications, and stay updated with emerging technologies.
  • The position requires providing cross-training and mentorship for developers on industry standards and best practices.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required, with degrees possibly substituted for years of experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C/C++, or others is preferred.
  • Knowledge of database systems and cloud platforms is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills are necessary for this role.
  • The ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines is required.
  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality software is essential.
