PingWind is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s (AHRQ) Agile software development team.
The Software Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of AHRQ applications and products.
Responsibilities include providing application and feature development leadership, coordinating with developers, and developing reusable code to enable rapid development.
The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software to stakeholders and users.
Key tasks include conducting Agile scrum ceremonies, collaborating with stakeholders in requirement development, supporting continuous integration using Jenkins, and writing clean, efficient, and scalable code.
The Software Engineer will also debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, participate in code reviews, implement security measures, document technical specifications, and stay updated with emerging technologies.
The position requires providing cross-training and mentorship for developers on industry standards and best practices.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required, with degrees possibly substituted for years of experience.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C/C++, or others is preferred.
Knowledge of database systems and cloud platforms is necessary.
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is required.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills are necessary for this role.
The ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines is required.
