LocalStack, a fast-growing startup, is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer proficient in Python and AWS to enhance and expand their AWS core cloud emulator.
The candidate will contribute to LocalStack's AWS emulator by implementing and testing AWS APIs, collaborating with the Core Engineering squad, and developing high-performance local cloud service emulators.
Responsibilities include contributing to the evolution of LocalStack's architecture, making the AWS emulator more robust, and developing scalable support processes.
The candidate will work closely with larger customers as the enterprise offering grows and shape the product direction based on customer feedback.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering, focusing on Python development.
Strong hands-on experience in modern Python development, including type hinting, unit/integration testing, and object-oriented software design.
Demonstrated expertise in AWS services and cloud technologies, with knowledge of AWS APIs, SDKs, and infrastructure.
Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
Problem-solving skills, excellent communication, collaboration abilities, and a proactive approach to tasks and challenges are required.
