Description:

• We are building the next-generation AI-powered platform and web application for easy and fast creation of audio and video content.
• The role involves building a revolutionary way to record, transcribe, edit, and mix audio and video on the web, which presents unique technical challenges and complex problems.
• We are looking for an experienced software engineer to develop a best-in-class video editing and streaming platform that powers the core editing and AI functionality of the app.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with designers and product managers to implement designs from Figma, performing frontend engineering with web-standard media APIs, React components, and Redux + sagas, ensuring cross-browser support with a web maximalist strategy, and planning, ticketing, and estimating projects with multi-team stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Candidates should have a bias towards action on shipping value to customers.
• An intrinsic focus on quality through self, automation, and bug bash testing is essential.
• Candidates should possess energy for exploring possibilities with prototypes and emerging standards.
• Technical fearlessness to ship large, complex projects used by many customers is required.
• Nice to have: Experience as AV nerds, former DJs, or familiarity with digital media, knowledge of WebRTC, MediaRecorder, or other real-time web media APIs, experience optimizing performance and quality for large, complex web applications, and contributions to open source or personal projects in the audio/video or creative tools space.
