The role is full-time (40+ hours/week) and involves collaborating with designers, producers, artists, and analysts to develop new features and ideas.
The position allows for participation in design discussions, playtests, and product strategy, emphasizing creativity and ownership.
Responsibilities include building and launching features for millions of players, writing clean and maintainable game code, partnering with team members to craft gameplay experiences, debugging existing systems, and providing feedback during playtests.
Requirements:
A Bachelorβs degree (or higher) in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent work experience is required.
At least 1 year of experience developing on Roblox, Minecraft, or another UGC gaming platform, either professionally or as a hobby.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in software development, preferably in games or related fields.
A strong foundation in computer science fundamentals and problem-solving skills is essential.
Experience with game engines, scripting languages (Lua is a plus), and version control is necessary.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset are required.
A passion for creating games that resonate with players is important.
