Remote Software Engineer (Ruby)

Description:

• We are expanding our product development team and are looking to hire a Ruby on Rails Developer to champion engineering efforts on our core product.
• You will be responsible for participating in feature definition sessions and implementation decisions that will bring new features to our customers.
• Your responsibilities will include implementing new features and technologies alongside the growing engineering team.
• You will use Rails 7+ to build, improve, and update our App.
• Monitoring the reliability and performance of relevant systems will be part of your role.
• You will write and maintain RSpec tests.
• Proactively identifying and participating in improving code and application functionality is expected.
• You will help mentor and teach junior team members via strong development practices.

Requirements:

• A passion for helping small businesses is essential.
• You must have 5+ years of full-stack Ruby on Rails experience.
• A solid understanding of web standards is required.
• A desire to learn and embrace the newest Rails features is necessary.
• You should have a proven ability to thrive in a remote-first environment.
• Demonstrating an understanding of ActiveRecord concepts and conventions is important.
• Experience in utilizing PostgreSQL to organize and chart time-series data is required.
• Experience developing Fintech software is a plus.

Benefits:
