Description:
We are expanding our product development team and are looking to hire a Ruby on Rails Developer to champion engineering efforts on our core product.
You will be responsible for participating in feature definition sessions and implementation decisions that will bring new features to our customers.
Your responsibilities will include implementing new features and technologies alongside the growing engineering team.
You will use Rails 7+ to build, improve, and update our App.
Monitoring the reliability and performance of relevant systems will be part of your role.
You will write and maintain RSpec tests.
Proactively identifying and participating in improving code and application functionality is expected.
You will help mentor and teach junior team members via strong development practices.
Requirements:
A passion for helping small businesses is essential.
You must have 5+ years of full-stack Ruby on Rails experience.
A solid understanding of web standards is required.
A desire to learn and embrace the newest Rails features is necessary.
You should have a proven ability to thrive in a remote-first environment.
Demonstrating an understanding of ActiveRecord concepts and conventions is important.
Experience in utilizing PostgreSQL to organize and chart time-series data is required.
Experience developing Fintech software is a plus.
Benefits:
The position is for a Ruby on Rails Developer.
The salary range is $3000-$5000 USD plus a bonus.
Working hours are flexible, but availability during regular business hours for meetings is required.
Payment frequency is monthly.
The type of contract is Independent Contractor.
