The company is seeking candidates with significant experience in Google Cloud for a short-term contract position as a Software Engineer.
The role involves working with clients to understand their requirements and technical challenges, developing technical designs for solutions, and communicating the value of these solutions to client teams.
Responsibilities include developing delivery estimates and project plans, acting as the lead technical member of the implementation project team, and ensuring project delivery remains on track.
The position requires utilizing a broad range of technologies such as Kubernetes, AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs) to develop scalable and efficient cloud applications.
The engineer will stay updated on industry trends and new technologies to drive continuous improvement in cloud solutions and practices.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to deliver end-to-end cloud solutions, from conceptualization to deployment and maintenance.
The role also involves problem-solving and troubleshooting to address complex technical challenges in a cloud environment.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience working in a Software Engineering capacity.
Excellent knowledge and experience with Python is required, and familiarity with additional languages such as Go is preferred.
Strong critical thinking skills and a bias towards problem-solving are essential.
Familiarity with implementing microservice architectures is necessary.
Fundamental skills with Kubernetes, including packaging and deploying applications to Kubernetes, are required.
Experience building applications that work with data, databases, and other parts of the data ecosystem is preferred.
Familiarity with Generative AI workflows, frameworks like Langchain, and experience with Streamlit are highly desirable, with a willingness to learn at a minimum.
Experience deploying production workloads on public cloud platforms, either GCP or AWS, is required.
Candidates should have experience using CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab.
The ability to work with new tools and technologies where prior experience may be lacking is necessary.
Candidates must be comfortable with video meetings internally and with clients.
Strong English communication skills are required.
