The Software Engineer will help build the future of site control systems and data infrastructure.
The role requires a broad engineering skillset to address various challenges faced by the systems.
Daily tasks may include debugging a MODBUS interface, developing trigger algorithms, building new data products, and collaborating with the TechOps team to improve operating principles.
This position is not a traditional software engineering role and will expose the candidate to many new technologies and skillsets.
The ideal candidate should be flexible, able to work around uncertainty, and committed to quality and reliability.
Requirements:
The candidate must have the ability to work in multiple programming languages, including NodeRed, Elixir, and Python, across various platforms.
Experience with Elixir is a bonus, but a strong desire to learn Elixir, the BEAM, and OTP is required.
Experience with AWS and managing lightweight cloud operations is necessary.
Light experience with graph databases and GraphQL queries is preferred.
The candidate should have experience in developing and improving tools and processes for quality software development and shipping.
An appreciation for testing and validation is essential.
Experience or a desire to develop and maintain mission-critical applications is required.
