As a Software Support Engineer, you will join a diverse team contributing to an AI-powered solution against financial crime.
You will advocate for customer success by investigating complex performance and functional issues.
You will work directly with Level 3 support engineers to learn about complex technical issues, becoming an expert in the product over time.
You will be passionate about helping customers use the software to address their financial crime challenges.
You will be mentored by a senior Staff Engineer to gain a deep understanding of the software across all microservices, eventually becoming the first point of contact for Level 3 support.
You will fix issues in the system based on priority and impact, collaborating with various teams including engineers, product managers, and support staff.
You will assist both internal teams and customers with your broad knowledge of the software.
Requirements:
Experience with core technologies such as Node.js, React, Elasticsearch, Kafka, MongoDB, and Redis is required; proficiency in at least one programming language is essential.
Experience in building and maintaining production software, particularly with large-scale data processing systems and complex JavaScript or Python codebases, is preferred.
Strong skills in developing high-quality software, debugging issues, and collaborating with internal team members are necessary.
Excellent communication skills are required to explain complex concepts, write clear code reviews, and work directly with customers on support issues.
Candidates must be able to work remotely or in a hybrid model from the Cheltenham office.

The salary for this position is up to £65,000 depending on experience.
