  • As a Software Support Engineer, you will join a diverse team contributing to an AI-powered solution against financial crime.
  • You will advocate for customer success by investigating complex performance and functional issues.
  • You will work directly with Level 3 support engineers to learn about complex technical issues, becoming an expert in the product over time.
  • You will be passionate about helping customers use the software to address their financial crime challenges.
  • You will be mentored by a senior Staff Engineer to gain a deep understanding of the software across all microservices, eventually becoming the first point of contact for Level 3 support.
  • You will fix issues in the system based on priority and impact, collaborating with various teams including engineers, product managers, and support staff.
  • You will assist both internal teams and customers with your broad knowledge of the software.

Requirements:

  • Experience with core technologies such as Node.js, React, Elasticsearch, Kafka, MongoDB, and Redis is required; proficiency in at least one programming language is essential.
  • Experience in building and maintaining production software, particularly with large-scale data processing systems and complex JavaScript or Python codebases, is preferred.
  • Strong skills in developing high-quality software, debugging issues, and collaborating with internal team members are necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills are required to explain complex concepts, write clear code reviews, and work directly with customers on support issues.
  • Candidates must be able to work remotely or in a hybrid model from the Cheltenham office.
