The Solution Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions that meet the strategic and operational needs of an organization.
This role involves working closely with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to create scalable and efficient cloud architectures leveraging cloud services and best practices.
The architect will develop comprehensive cloud solutions aligned with business objectives, considering factors like scalability, performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
They will lead technical teams in the development and deployment of cloud solutions, providing expert guidance and resolving complex technical challenges.
Ensuring cloud solutions meet security and compliance standards including data protection, encryption, access control, and regulatory requirements is essential.
The architect will implement cost-effective cloud strategies, including resource optimization, usage monitoring, and budget management to maximize ROI.
They will provide expert-level client collateral including architectural drawings, documentation, and implementation guides for project architecture deliverables.
Keeping current of emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying innovative solutions, and recognizing opportunities for efficiency is a key responsibility.
The architect will lead engagement teams, delegate responsibilities, and mentor fellow consultants.
They will work within the sales process to lead technical whiteboards, scope projects, create sales collateral, and present to C-Level executives.
Reviewing technical documentation and sales collateral for punctual and technical correctness is required.
The architect will identify new engagement offerings, create client deliverable templates, and revise existing client deliverables as needed.
They will identify future engagement opportunities during existing client engagements and convey those needs to account executives and practice leadership.
Requirements:
Candidates must have seven or more years in IT consulting or enterprise-level IT architecture.
A deep understanding of Microsoft Azure Core services and capabilities, with an emphasis on the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Azure Well-Architected Framework is required.
Strong architectural and design skills to create scalable, reliable, and high-performance cloud solutions are necessary.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as ARM, Bicep, Terraform, or Azure DevOps is essential.
An in-depth understanding of cloud security principles, identity and access management, encryption, and compliance is required.
Relevant experience with Azure Backups, Azure Site Recovery, and general DR/HA best practices is necessary.
Experience with on-premises datacenter infrastructure for compute, storage, or networking is required.
Candidates should have experience with converged and hyperconverged infrastructure.
Effective communication skills to interact with clients and convey technical information clearly are essential.
Project management skills to lead and coordinate cloud implementation projects are required.
Azure certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, are necessary.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $145,000 a year, with eligibility for a discretionary bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
