Description:

  • Brightspeed is seeking a driven, creative, and energetic Solution Engineer to join their team.
  • The Solution Engineer will report directly to the Manager of Sales Engineering.
  • This role involves working with Sales to design, sell, and support solutions utilizing the entire suite of Brightspeed services.
  • Responsibilities include understanding customer business challenges, developing solutions, and communicating them effectively.
  • The Solution Engineer will support Sales and Account teams with pre-sale proposal generation, including pricing assistance, equipment design, and technical documentation.
  • The role requires developing and articulating value statements based on an understanding of voice, data, Internet, and network solutions.
  • The Solution Engineer will assist in preparing and presenting technical designs and paperwork for post-sale handoff to Engineering and Service Delivery teams.
  • The position involves representing Brightspeed on customer appointments as a subject matter expert in network and technology services.
  • The role requires developing collaborative relationships with various internal organizations, including Service Delivery, IT, Product Management, and others.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have 10+ years of experience in sales engineering.
  • A strong knowledge of technology and telecommunications services, including networks and network design, is required.
  • Understanding of voice, data, Internet, and network/managed services and the underlying technology is essential.
  • Familiarity with sales strategies, processes, systems, and approaches is necessary.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills are required.
  • A customer service orientation is essential for this role.
  • The ability to effectively convey information and communicate with others is a must.
