Assume responsibility for the structured decommissioning and capacity optimization of OTC hardware that has reached End of Life or is no longer supported by the vendor.
Serve as a reliable point of contact and subject matter expert for hardware lifecycle and public cloud infrastructure management.
Design, implement, and maintain automation solutions—particularly for NetBox plugin enhancements and the proactive generation of Jira tickets for impacted squads.
Conduct thorough validation of hardware handed over by other squads to ensure all systems are fully decommissioned and no longer in active use.
Collaborate within a specialized and trusted team environment characterized by transparency, knowledge sharing, and mutual support.
Requirements:
Completed studies in a technical, engineering or scientific subject or comparable professional training.
3-5 years of professional experience in IT with a focus on cloud and data centers.
In-depth knowledge of server, storage and networking hardware.
Strong experience in Linux and network related services.
Practice in hardware-oriented infrastructure automation and asset management.
High level of customer focus.
Knowledge of agile development processes.
Ability to assess technical solutions and come up with creative solutions.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
