The engineer will own the technical success of trials, engage with technical stakeholders, contribute to technical qualification of opportunities, and develop demonstrable examples and best practices.
The role also involves supporting users with trials and production deployments, representing the product at events, and demonstrating a deep technical understanding of the product.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales role for a technical product, with a proven track record in multi-level technical sales; early-stage startup experience is highly desirable.
Experience with data processing, machine-learning systems, MLOps, and machine learning infrastructure is required.
A working knowledge of popular machine learning frameworks (such as Pytorch and Tensorflow) and data processing frameworks (like Spark, Flink, and Beam) is necessary for building production-grade AI pipelines.
Candidates should have a general understanding of distributed systems at scale and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloudformation), Containers (Docker), Kubernetes, and CI/CD systems.
The ideal candidate is highly organized and thrives in a high-volume environment with ambiguities and competing priorities.
Familiarity with sales frameworks such as MEDDIC is preferred.
It is a strong plus if the candidate has contributed to the Flyte or Union communities.
The ability to travel to conferences or customer locations with minimal restrictions and occasionally on short notice is required.
