Responsibilities include collaborating with Account Executives and technical teams to translate customer requirements into product demonstrations, proof of concepts, and tailored solutions.
The Solution Engineer will play a key role in the pre-sales process, addressing complex OT/IT challenges.
The position requires a blend of hands-on technical work, strategic consulting, and client-facing communication.
The engineer will act as the primary technical advisor to 3–4 Account Executives, supporting opportunity strategy and customer engagement.
They will lead technical discovery, develop tailored demos, and deliver compelling Proof of Concepts aligned with customer needs.
Collaboration with internal teams such as Product, Engineering, and Professional Services is essential to develop effective end-to-end solutions.
The role involves engaging with both business and technical stakeholders to clarify needs and propose innovative use cases.
The engineer will contribute to webinars, conferences, and customer meetings with persuasive presentations and deep domain knowledge.
Feedback to product teams based on client input and market trends is expected.
Managing technical conversations around enterprise integration, reliability, security, and interoperability is part of the role.
Requirements:
A minimum of 4 years of experience in software pre-sales, solutions engineering, or a related customer-facing technical role is required.
Strong knowledge of IoT architectures, messaging protocols (e.g., MQTT), and networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, WebSockets) is necessary.
Familiarity with enterprise-grade technologies such as cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and integration tools is essential.
Experience in navigating customer ambiguity and driving internal alignment to deliver innovative technical solutions is required.
Proficiency in MEDDPIC or other structured sales methodologies is necessary.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required, with fluency in both English and German.
Candidates must be based in Germany or Austria and be willing to travel up to 20%.
Bonus qualifications include experience with Java, Ansible, TensorFlow, SCADA systems, Industry 4.0, or digital transformation initiatives.
