Remote Solutions Architect Public Sector (US)

Description:

• The Solutions Architect will act as a liaison between Enterprise customers and Cloud Engineers at Poolside.
• This role involves onboarding new customers to ensure they can install, manage, and monitor Poolside's platform effectively.
• The Solutions Architect will work with customers to deliver a scalable Poolside product by customizing deployment scripts to fit specific customer infrastructure requirements.
• Responsibilities include supporting the engineering team in designing and implementing performant, secure, and scalable solutions while building a standard Poolside platform.

Requirements:

• The candidate must collaborate with customers to adapt the cloud architecture to their specific needs while ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• They should create and maintain comprehensive documentation for architectures, configurations, procedures, and customer interactions.
• The role requires leading the troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Candidates must be comfortable with distributed systems, including data pipelines, distributed processing, fault tolerance, performance optimization, message queues, and event-driven architectures such as Kafka and Google Pub/Sub.
• Experience with cloud services like GCP, AWS, and Azure is necessary, particularly with managed services and storage.
• Familiarity with developer experience tools, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization in production environments, is required.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Ruby, or Python is a plus, though candidates from other languages are also welcome.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and bare metal is essential.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Datadog is also required.
• An active TS/SCI Clearance is preferred.
