Simulmedia is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead system-level thinking and architectural strategy for their next-generation self-serve TV ad buying platform.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role that involves collaboration with engineering, data, science, and DevOps leaders.
The Solutions Architect will design scalable, maintainable, and performant systems that support the growing CTV advertising ecosystem.
The role requires deep experience in modern systems design, architectural documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities include evaluating existing systems, identifying modernization opportunities, and guiding the platform's evolution while balancing long-term scalability with near-term delivery.
The position is located in Kyiv or Lviv, Ukraine, with a remote-first team structure and flexibility to work from either city.
Key tasks include defining and evolving the technical architecture, partnering with leaders to guide technology selection, documenting existing systems, designing foundational systems for new features, producing architectural artifacts, supporting design reviews, aligning architecture decisions with product priorities, mitigating risks, and contributing to the company’s technical strategy.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of engineering experience, including senior-level contributions to systems architecture in a SaaS or product-led environment.
Strong experience in designing distributed systems, API architectures, and cloud-native applications is required.
The ability to assess and document existing systems and translate legacy patterns into modern, modular architecture is essential.
Candidates should possess broad technical fluency across backend, frontend, infrastructure, and data to guide cross-functional conversations.
Experience in balancing technical decision-making with business and product context is necessary.
Candidates must be skilled at breaking down complexity and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Comfort working from 11 am – 8 pm EEST for overlap with U.S.-based collaborators is required.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is mandatory.
