  • The Solutions Engineer, Connectivity will actively participate in the NiCE CXone presales effort.
  • This role involves interfacing directly with end users to conduct a thorough discovery process, gathering requirements for engineering voice and data interconnections.
  • These connections enable customers or their partners to utilize the NiCE CXone software platform.
  • After customer interest is confirmed, the Solutions Engineer will finalize the design components for voice and data services.
  • The role also includes interfacing with existing customers who require connectivity revisions or upgrades.
  • Responsibilities include providing direct support to NiCE CXone sales and customer service organizations for pre- and post-sale connectivity engineering needs.
  • The engineer will attain mastery-level knowledge of the voice and data services available through NiCE CXone and communicate their functionality and interconnection requirements to customers and vendors.
  • Developing imaginative, thorough, and practical solutions for a wide range of complex applications is essential.
  • The engineer will document proposals for standard and customized services and prepare detailed project plans and order summaries for presentation to end users and their partners.
  • Approving designs for sale upon customer acceptance is part of the role.
  • Acting as an escalation point to resolve vendor hardware, software, and application problems associated with the recommended products and services is required.
  • The engineer will mentor Cloud Connectivity Engineers needing design guidance and organize resources to accomplish projects and organizational goals.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with various departments is crucial for overall order coordination success.
  • Approximately 25% travel may be required.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in Telecommunications Circuit Design Engineering or Analysis is necessary.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a Sales or Solutions Engineering role is required.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of telecom principles and concepts is essential.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with industry personnel, vendors, sales, service delivery, and engineering personnel is required.
  • A broad range of skills within a professional discipline to effectively perform complex assignments is necessary, along with familiarity with theories, concepts, and network principles.
  • The candidate must be highly organized, motivated, and self-sufficient with a desire to win.
  • Strong customer service and technical support skills, along with problem-solving, troubleshooting skills, analytical and decision-making abilities are required.
  • Advanced knowledge in architecture design and configuration of networking and equipment, including OSI model service design with emphasis on Ethernet and IP architectures, VoIP Network protocols, and IP addressing (IPv4 and IPv6) is necessary.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Visio is required.
  • An advantage will be given to candidates with prior experience presenting solutions to stakeholders at all levels, provisioning Dedicated TDM and IP services, building switching and routing translations for customer or carrier-facing connections, and installation and implementation of telephony-related equipment.
