Twilio is seeking a Solutions Engineer for the Twilio Communications EMEA team.
The role requires a combination of technical expertise and the ability to build executive relationships.
The Solutions Engineer will deliver technical wins and product fit to customers across the EMEA region.
Responsibilities include collaborating with Account Executives and other teams during the pre-sales process, building business partnerships, and participating in various sales cycle activities such as demonstrations and technical presentations.
The engineer will develop expertise in customer needs and Twilio’s communication technology, lead technical discovery sessions, and present complex product demos.
The position involves building trusted advisor relationships with customers and contributing to the Solutions Engineer community by sharing knowledge and creating demo assets.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years in a technical pre-sales role within CPaaS, SaaS, or Telecom.
A solid understanding of the sales cycle and the role of a pre-sales engineer is required.
Candidates must have experience with voice protocols (VoIP), SIP implementations, or messaging APIs.
Creativity and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
The ability to communicate complex topics effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences is necessary.
Candidates should possess the ability to ask insightful questions to understand customer needs and guide them to technical solutions using Twilio products.
Knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and cloud application architectures is required.
Experience in backend development (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or PHP) and web development (JS, React) is necessary.
Experience with designing and consuming REST APIs is required.
Fluency in German is mandatory.
