  • Twilio is seeking a Solutions Engineer for the Twilio Communications EMEA team.

  • Responsibilities include collaborating with Account Executives and other teams during the pre-sales process, building business partnerships, and participating in various sales cycle activities such as demonstrations and technical presentations.
  • The engineer will develop expertise in customer needs and Twilio’s communication technology, lead technical discovery sessions, and present complex product demos.
  • The position involves building trusted advisor relationships with customers and contributing to the Solutions Engineer community by sharing knowledge and creating demo assets.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years in a technical pre-sales role within CPaaS, SaaS, or Telecom.
  • A solid understanding of the sales cycle and the role of a pre-sales engineer is required.
  • Candidates must have experience with voice protocols (VoIP), SIP implementations, or messaging APIs.
  • Creativity and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
  • The ability to communicate complex topics effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences is necessary.
  • Candidates should possess the ability to ask insightful questions to understand customer needs and guide them to technical solutions using Twilio products.
  • Knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and cloud application architectures is required.
  • Experience in backend development (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or PHP) and web development (JS, React) is necessary.
  • Experience with designing and consuming REST APIs is required.
  • Fluency in German is mandatory.
