LiveKit is seeking a Solutions Engineer (Pre-Sales) to connect the technical platform with customers who build on it.
The role involves deep technical understanding and building trust in customer conversations.
Responsibilities include partnering with Sales to qualify opportunities, delivering technical presentations, collaborating with prospects to design architectures, building prototype integrations, and serving as a trusted advisor.
The Solutions Engineer will capture customer feedback to influence product roadmaps and support Account Executives in technical proposal writing and proof-of-concepts.
The position requires maintaining a deep understanding of LiveKit’s platform and the real-time communications ecosystem, as well as providing post-sale handoffs for smooth onboarding.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience in customer-facing roles and the ability to build credibility and trust quickly.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages, ideally Go or Python, is required.
Familiarity with deploying agents and a basic understanding of client SDK development, APIs, and cloud architectures is necessary.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or field development engineering at a B2B SaaS, infrastructure company, or B2D is required.
Excellent communication skills are essential for translating technical concepts for both technical and business-oriented audiences.
Candidates should be comfortable running live demos and technical workshops.
A self-starter attitude is important, thriving in fast-paced, low-process environments.
Strong collaboration skills are needed to work seamlessly with sales, product, and engineering teams.
