The Zero Trust Solutions Engineer will work with clients to understand their business needs and current applications landscape to develop a security posture that meets their needs.
The role involves utilizing the Cloudflare One product portfolio, which includes various Zero Trust offerings such as Remote Browser Isolation and email security solutions.
The engineer will collaborate closely with Account Executives, generalist SEs, and other teams at Cloudflare, including Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support.
Responsibilities include serving as a trusted advisor to customers, guiding prospects through the Solution Design and Proof of Concept stages, achieving Pipeline and Revenue goals, understanding customer IT landscape and security requirements, and articulating the benefits of Cloudflare One compared to competing solutions.
Requirements:
Candidates must demonstrate curiosity and learning agility.
Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken) is required.
A minimum of 3 years of prior experience in Technical Sales, Systems Engineering, or a related field is necessary.
Experience in interacting with senior-level executives to communicate network and security transformation is essential.
Familiarity with trends in cyber security, including RAT/trojans, malware, ransomware, phishing, adware, cryptomining, spam, botnets, and scareware is required.
A fundamental understanding of customer network and application architectures is necessary.
Candidates should possess technical curiosity and passion for staying updated with Cloudflare’s products and industry trends.
A detailed understanding of workflows from user to application, including hybrid architectures with Azure, AWS, and GCP, is required.
Knowledge of SASE concepts and Zero Trust Networking architectures is essential.
Familiarity with Secure Web Gateway, CASB, DLP, DNS, DNS over HTTPS, IdP/authentication, SAML, OTP, SaaS application integration, and tenant controls is necessary.
Understanding of VPN and remote access challenges, SIEM and log analytics platforms, and client OS fundamentals is required.
Candidates should have the ability to manage projects, work to deadlines, and prioritize competing goals.
