Description:

  • NiCE is seeking an experienced QA professional for the role of Specialist Automation Engineer based in Pune, India.
  • The candidate will work independently and must have a strong background in testing distributed systems and test automation.
  • The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality and secure software within an Agile framework.
  • Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test cases using tools like Selenium and Playwright, and developing scripts in Typescript.
  • The position requires integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, conducting comprehensive testing of web-based SaaS applications and RESTful APIs, and managing testing frameworks.
  • The candidate will also report and manage software issues, collaborate with developers and product managers, and mentor junior team members.
  • Various testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, will be implemented, ensuring compliance with QA best practices.
  • Optional responsibilities include conducting performance and security testing for SaaS applications and analyzing software issues through automated testing processes.

Requirements:

  • A BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related degree is required.
  • The candidate must have 8+ years of experience in software testing and automated testing of microservices using Typescript, C#, or Java.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright or Selenium automation testing is essential.
  • A strong understanding of test automation design patterns and tools is required.
  • An ISTQB certification (or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Experience in creating clear test plans, scripts, and reporting results is necessary.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Git or similar version control systems to manage test scripts and coordinate test coverage is required.
  • Practical experience in manual and automated testing across UI, business logic, data access, and APIs is needed.
  • Experience in API/Web Services Testing using tools like Postman is essential.
  • The candidate should have experience with cross-browser and non-functional testing strategies.
  • A good understanding of testing design patterns and experience in implementing automated tests for REST APIs and service-based architectures is required.
  • Familiarity with AWS tools such as Kafka, EKS, and Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration workflows and tooling is necessary.
  • The candidate should stay updated with industry trends and best practices in test automation.
