The Specialist Cloud Network Engineer position at NiCE involves evaluating current and emerging technologies and collaborating with DevOps and other business units to implement best practices.
The role requires working with AWS, Azure, GCP, and inContact's private cloud environments.
Responsibilities include researching and evaluating cloud technologies, establishing design strategies and automation, and updating CloudFormation using JSON/YAML.
The engineer will conduct design reviews, serve as an escalation point for problem-solving, and may act as a technical lead on projects.
Effective communication of technical information to various stakeholders is essential.
The role involves collaboration with colleagues, customers, and vendors to develop architectural solutions and understanding existing systems and processes.
The engineer will participate in the evaluation and selection of solutions or products and act as a local expert in their domain.
Additional duties may be required, including acting as an internal consultant across multiple business units.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of work experience in an internetworking environment.
Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and GCP is required.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as code and scripting with JSON/YAML for CloudFormation is necessary.
Expert-level experience with Palo Alto and F5 load balancers, as well as network switching and routing, is essential.
Extensive knowledge of networking technologies, topologies, and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, SNMP, Multicast, VRRP, HSRP) is required.
Candidates should have significant experience in OSPF and BGP design, implementation, and troubleshooting, as well as experience with MPLS environments.
Familiarity with authentication services such as TACACS+, RADIUS, and RSA SecurID is necessary.
A working knowledge of IPV6, intermediate Visio skills, and experience with management systems and SNMP is required.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are essential, along with a history of adapting to new technologies.
Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills are a must.
