As a GCP Cloud Engineer, you will take on exciting tasks in the rapidly developing Cloud environment from the very beginning.
You will automate processes consistently using common tools, ensuring that you do not perform any test or control activities twice by hand.
Your responsibilities will include tracking feature requests and bug reports.
You will support the planning of resources, capacities, operational requirements, and security.
You will prepare changes, which includes planning, validation, testing, and staging.
You will provide support in the use of ITIL operational processes and platform support.
You will assist in the use and development of automations, scaling, CI/CD workflows, and Git.
You will handle specific platform configurations, including network, application, and security.
You will analyze platform incidents and optimize general processes while providing ITIL support.
You will create performance KPIs.
Requirements:
You must have 3+ years of professional experience in the IT industry or telecommunications, ideally with extensive experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other Hyperscaler platforms such as AWS or Azure.
You should have an understanding of cloud engineering methods, applications, and best practices across cloud service providers.
Experience in assessing, customizing, troubleshooting, optimizing, and maintaining current and emerging technologies, platforms, and applications is required to ensure greater security and efficiencies.
You need experience with cloud orchestration tools and continuous delivery processes to deploy and manage cloud infrastructure for customers (DevOps).
Familiarity with modern tools for collaboration in an agile environment, such as GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence, is necessary, along with the ability to assess technical solutions and find creative approaches.
You must demonstrate proficiency in automating processes using GitHub, Ansible, Terraform, Packer, PowerShell, and Python, including the use of remote APIs.
Experience working with containers and container orchestration systems, as well as hardening practices, is required.
You should have experience implementing, managing, and supporting security products to protect workloads on the platform.
Relevant certifications such as GCP Digital Leader / Cloud Engineer, AWS Cloud Practitioner / Technical Essentials, and/or Azure Fundamentals or higher are necessary.
Fluency in English is required.
