The Specialist Performance Engineer at NICE will actively define and evolve standard practices and procedures for performance engineering.
Responsibilities include defining and developing software for tasks related to designing, testing, and optimizing performance across multiple components of NICE’s solutions.
The role involves troubleshooting production and performance issues, analyzing system efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
Key tasks include understanding application architecture, designing and executing performance tests, evaluating new technologies, debugging codes, analyzing SLAs, and identifying performance bottlenecks.
The engineer will work with multiple product teams to create and analyze performance tests, recommend solutions for performance issues, and drive industry best practices in development and performance engineering methodologies.
The position requires identifying real work usage patterns and making deployment and scalability recommendations based on test results.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 9 to 12 years of experience in performance testing and optimization of applications.
Strong experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, k6, and Locust is required.
Expertise in cloud computing performance testing and monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana is necessary.
Proficiency in analyzing memory leaks, thread dumps, CPU utilization, and database performance tuning using tools like AppDynamics and Datadog is essential.
Experience in Websocket and gRPC testing in large-scale distributed cloud environments is required, including familiarity with gRPC testing tools like Kretes, Postman, and grpc_cli.
Strong knowledge of performance analysis tools for Java and database applications is needed, along with expertise in UI performance tools for measuring UI performance and responsive design.
Familiarity with chatbot testing frameworks such as Botium, Jest, and Mocha is preferred.
Candidates should be highly self-motivated, independent workers with strong teamwork skills and a fast-learning attitude.
Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset are essential.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
