  • As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining core services that power the platformโ€™s marketing capabilities.
  • This role involves designing and implementing business-critical features, ensuring they are reliable, performant, and scalable.
  • You will primarily work with Ruby on Rails, contributing to backend systems that impact product functionality and user experience.
  • Your responsibilities include maintaining robust RESTful and GraphQL APIs and driving the development of backend services for new features and improvements.
  • You will develop and maintain backend features and services, ensuring high standards of data integrity, performance, and security.
  • Collaboration with frontend engineers on contract testing, API structure, and service integration is essential.
  • You will contribute to backend architecture decisions, refactoring efforts, and performance optimization.
  • Prototyping new ideas and writing comprehensive test plans will be part of your role.
  • Setting measurable goals and consistently meeting them, conducting code reviews, and communicating with users to collect requirements are also key responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • You must have 5+ years of experience in backend development, preferably in a product-led company.
  • Deep experience with Ruby on Rails is required.
  • A strong grasp of REST and/or GraphQL API design principles is necessary.
  • Familiarity with integrating APIs into frontend applications is important.
  • A solid understanding of database modeling and data lifecycle is required.
